81 – To Forgive Divine

A young man, named Noah, was sitting in his room, feeling ashamed and guilty. He had just sinned against God, and he didn’t know what to do. He felt like he couldn’t face God, and he was afraid of what would happen to him.

Noah had always been a good person. He was a devout follower of Jesus, and he tried to live a life that was pleasing to Him. But this time, he had made a mistake. He had sinned, and he knew that he had to confess his sin to God.

Noah took a deep breath and prayed to God. He told God about his sin, and he asked for forgiveness. Noah knew that God was a loving and merciful God, and he believed that God would forgive him.

After Noah prayed, he felt a sense of peace come over him. He knew that God had forgiven him, and he was no longer ashamed or guilty. Noah felt like he could finally face God, and he was excited to start over.

Noah’s story is an inspiration to us all. It shows us that no matter how far we have strayed, God is always there for us. He is always waiting for us to come home. He is always ready to forgive us and to start over.

If you have sinned, I encourage you to confess your sin to God. Let God’s words fill you with hope and joy. Let them remind you that you are loved and forgiven. And let them give you the strength to keep going.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

1 John 1:9

82 – The Lost Sheep

A shepherd boy sat on a rock, watching his flock of sheep graze in the meadow. It was a beautiful day, and the boy was content. He loved his sheep, and they loved him.

Suddenly, the boy heard a cry. He jumped up and looked around. He saw one of his sheep had wandered away. The boy ran after the sheep, calling for it to come back.

The sheep ran faster, and the boy ran faster. The sheep was getting away! The boy was starting to panic.

Just when the boy thought he was going to lose the sheep, he saw a tree. The sheep ran under the tree, and the boy stopped running. He was out of breath, and he was starting to feel discouraged.

The boy sat down under the tree and looked at the sheep. The sheep was scared, and it was shaking. The boy knew he had to do something to calm the sheep down.

The boy took a deep breath and started to talk to the sheep. He told the sheep that he was safe, and that he would never let anything happen to it. The boy talked to the sheep for a long time, and eventually, the sheep calmed down.

The boy stood up and walked over to the sheep. He gently picked up the sheep and carried it back to the flock. The other sheep were happy to see the lost sheep, and they all started to bleat.

The boy smiled. He was glad that he had been able to save the lost sheep. He knew that God had helped him, and he was grateful.

The boy’s story is an inspiration to us all. It shows us that no matter how lost we may feel, God is always there for us. He will never let us go. We can always turn to God for help, and He will never fail us.

“My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.”

John 10:29

83 – Home

The little boy sat on the edge of the cliff, looking out at the sea. He had been sitting there for hours, ever since his parents had told him that they were getting a divorce.

He didn’t understand why they were getting a divorce. He thought they were happy. He thought they loved each other. But now, they were going to be apart, and he didn’t know what he was going to do. His home was broken.

He felt lost and alone. He didn’t know who to turn to. He didn’t know what to believe.

He looked out at the sea, and he thought about how big it was. He thought about how vast and empty it was. And he felt even smaller and more alone.

He started to cry. He cried for a long time. He cried until he couldn’t cry anymore.

When he finally stopped crying, he looked out at the sea again. And this time, he saw something different.

He saw the waves crashing against the rocks. He saw the sun sparkling on the water. And he saw the seagulls soaring overhead.

And he realized that even though he felt lost and alone, he wasn’t really alone.

The sea was there for him. The sun was there for him. The seagulls were there for him.

And God was there for him.

Jesus was always there for him.

The little boy smiled. He knew that he was going to be okay.

He stood up and started to walk away from the cliff. He didn’t know where he was going, but he knew that he would be okay.

He would find his way.

He would find his home.

“Those who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.”

Psalm 9:10

84 – The Farmer

Once upon a time, there was a farmer who lived in a small village. He was a hard worker, and he always took good care of his land. But one day, a terrible storm came to the village. The wind blew so hard that it knocked down trees, and the rain came down so hard that it flooded the fields.

The farmer was worried. He didn’t know how he was going to save his crops. He prayed to God for help.

The next morning, the sun came out, and the rain stopped. The farmer went out to look at his fields. He was amazed to see that his crops were still standing. The storm had not damaged them at all.

The farmer knew that Jesus had answered his prayer. He was so grateful. He went to church that Sunday and gave thanks to God for his blessings.

The farmer learned a valuable lesson that day. He learned that if he diligently seeks God with a heart of faith, God will reward him.

“The God who rules and reigns over all is the One who rewards those who seek Him. Let us long to seek God and find our reward in Him. In order to please God, we must believe that God exists.”

Hebrews 11:6

85 – The Teacher

Once upon a time, there was a teacher who loved her students. She was always patient and kind, and she always wanted the best for them.

One day, the teacher was talking to her students about the passage from Isaiah 40:8. “The grass will dry up and flowers will fall, but My Word will endure forever,” she said.

The students were silent for a moment, thinking about what the teacher had said. Then, one of the students raised her hand. “What does that mean?” she asked.

The teacher smiled. “It means that even though things in this world may change, God’s word is always true,” she said. “It’s something we can always rely on.”

The students nodded. They understood what the teacher was saying. They knew that God’s word was always true, and they were grateful for that.

The teacher continued to talk to her students about the passage from Isaiah 40:8. She told them about how God’s word is a source of comfort and hope, even in difficult times. She told them about how God’s word can help us to find our way, even when we’re lost.

The students listened attentively. They were inspired by the teacher’s words. They knew that God’s word was a powerful force, and they were grateful for that.

The teacher finished talking, and the students were silent for a moment. Then, one of the students raised her hand again. “Thank you,” she said. “That was really helpful.”

The teacher smiled. “You’re welcome,” she said. “I’m glad I could help.”

The teacher and her students continued to talk about God’s word for a while longer. They talked about how it can help us to live our lives in a way that is pleasing to God. They talked about how it can help us to find peace and joy in our lives.

The students were inspired by the teacher’s words. They knew that God’s word was a powerful force, and they were grateful for that.

The teacher and her students continued to study God’s word together. They learned more and more about God’s love and grace. They learned more and more about how God’s word can help us to live our lives in a way that is pleasing to God.

The teacher and her students were grateful for God’s word. They knew that it was a gift from God, and they were determined to use it to make a difference in the world.

“All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field;
the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever.”

1 Peter 1:24-25

86 – The Homeless Man

A homeless man sat on the sidewalk, begging for change. He was dirty and hungry, and he looked like he had given up on life.

A woman walked by and saw the homeless man. She felt sorry for him, and she reached into her purse and gave him a few dollars.

The homeless man looked up at the woman and smiled. “Thank you,” he said. “God bless you.”

The woman smiled back. “You’re welcome,” she said. “And God bless you too.”

The woman walked away, and the homeless man watched her go. He felt a sense of hope. He knew that God was with him, and that He would help him.

The homeless man got up and started walking. He didn’t know where he was going, but he knew that he would be okay. He had God on his side.

The homeless man walked for a few hours, and eventually he came to a church. He went inside and sat down in the back.

The pastor was giving a sermon, and he was talking about how God loves everyone, no matter what. The homeless man listened to the sermon, and he felt a sense of peace. He knew that God loved him, and that He would help him.

After the sermon, the homeless man went up to the pastor and told him his story. The pastor listened to the homeless man’s story, and he offered to help him.

The pastor gave the homeless man some food and clothes, and he helped him find a place to stay. The homeless man was so grateful for the pastor’s help. He knew that God had sent the pastor to help him.

The homeless man started going to church regularly, and he started to rebuild his life. He got a job, and he started to make friends. He was finally starting to feel like he belonged.

The homeless man never forgot the words of the pastor. He knew that God was always with him, and that He would always help him.

The homeless man lived a long and happy life. He was a good man, and he was always willing to help others. He was always grateful for the words of God: “I am with you, and I will help you.”

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Isaiah 41:10

87 – Turbulent Waters

The young woman sat on a hill near the ocean, looking down at the turbulent waters below. She had lost her job, her home, and her boyfriend. She had been diagnosed with a chronic illness. She was in debt. She had lost almost everything in a short period of time, and she was scared. She didn’t know what to do.

She closed her eyes and prayed. “God,” she said, “I am so lost. I don’t know where to go or what to do. Please help me.”

She opened her eyes and saw a light in the distance. She got up and started walking towards it. As she got closer, she saw that it was a house. There was a man standing in the window, waving to her.

The young woman ran to the house and knocked on the door. The man opened the door and smiled at her. “Hello,” he said. “My name is Elijah. What’s your name?”

“My name is Maya,” the young woman said. “I’m lost. Can I stay here?”

“Of course you can stay here,” Elijah said. “Come in, come in.”

Maya went inside, and Elijah closed the door behind her. “Sit down,” Elijah said. “I’ll get you some food and water.”

Elijah went into the kitchen and came back a few minutes later with a plate of food and a glass of water. He set them down in front of Maya.

“Here you go,” Elijah said. “Eat up.”

Maya ate the food and drank the water. She felt much better after she had eaten.

“Thank you,” Maya said. “That was delicious.”

“You’re welcome,” Elijah said. “Now, tell me about yourself.”

Maya told Elijah her story. She told him about how she had lost her job, her home, and her boyfriend. She told him about how she was scared and didn’t know what to do.

Elijah listened patiently. When Maya was finished, Elijah said, “I’m so sorry to hear that you’re going through such a difficult time. But I want you to know that you’re not alone. Jesus is with you, and he will help you through this.”

Maya smiled. “Thank you,” she said. “I needed to hear that.”

“You’re welcome,” Elijah said. “Now, why don’t you get some rest? You can sleep in the guest room.”

Maya went into the guest room and fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow. She slept soundly for the first time in days.

When she woke up the next morning, she felt refreshed and optimistic. She knew that she would be okay. She had God’s love, and she had a friend who would help her through anything.

Maya went downstairs and found Elijah in the kitchen. “Good morning,” Elijah said. “Did you sleep well?”

“Yes,” Maya said. “I slept great.”

“I’m glad,” Elijah said. “Now, come and have breakfast.”

Maya sat down at the table, and Elijah served her breakfast. After breakfast, Maya helped Elijah with the dishes. Then, Elijah showed Maya around the house.

“This is a beautiful house,” Maya said.

“Thank you,” Elijah said. “I’ve been here for many years. It’s my home.”

“I can see why,” Maya said. “It’s so warm and inviting.”

Maya stayed with Elijah for a few weeks. During that time, Elijah helped Maya to find a new job and a new place to live. He also helped Maya to heal from the emotional pain that she had been through.

When it was time for Maya to leave, she was sad to go. But she knew that she would be okay. She had God’s love, and she had a friend who would always be there for her.

“Thank you for everything,” Maya said to Elijah. “I don’t know what I would have done without you.”

“You’re welcome,” Elijah said. “I’m glad I could help.”

Maya hugged Elijah goodbye, and then she walked out the door. She looked back once, and she saw Elijah standing in the doorway, waving goodbye.

Maya smiled. She knew that she would never forget Elijah, and she knew that she would always be grateful for his help.

Maya went on to live a long and happy life. She never forgot Elijah, and she always remembered his words.

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”

Isaiah 43:2

88 – The Mercy of God

A young woman stood before a judge, her hands shaking. She had been convicted of a crime, and she was facing a long prison sentence. She knew that she had made a mistake, but she was hoping for mercy.

The judge looked at the young woman and sighed. “I know that you’re young, and I know that you’re sorry for what you’ve done,” he said. “But I also have to consider the seriousness of your crime. I’m sentencing you to five years in prison.”

The young woman’s heart sank. She had been hoping for a lighter sentence, but she knew that she had to accept the judge’s decision. She was led away to prison, feeling defeated and hopeless.

The young woman spent the next couple of years in prison. She worked hard and tried to stay out of trouble, but she was often lonely and depressed. She missed her family and friends, and she wondered if she would ever be able to put her life back together.

One day, two years after her conviction, the young woman was called to the warden’s office. She was surprised to see that the judge was there.

“I’ve been thinking about your case,” the judge said. “And I’ve decided to release you early on parole.”

The young woman was stunned. She couldn’t believe that the judge was giving her a second chance.

“Thank you,” she said. “I won’t let you down.”

The young woman was released from prison, and she vowed to turn her life around. She got a job, got her GED, and started going to church. She met a man, got married, and had a child. She was finally happy and content.

The young woman never forgot the judge’s mercy. She knew that she didn’t deserve it, but she was grateful for it. She was determined to live her life in a way that would honor the judge’s faith in her.

The young woman’s story is a reminder that God’s mercy is greater than our sin. No matter how far we have fallen, Jesus is always willing to forgive us and give us a second chance. We should never give up hope, no matter how difficult our circumstances may seem.

“My mercy will overrule judgement.”

James 2:13

89 – The Gift of Mercy

A young woman stood in the doorway of a homeless shelter, looking around with a mixture of fear and hope. She had never been in a place like this before, and she didn’t know what to expect. But she knew that she had nowhere else to go.

She had been living on the streets for the past few months, ever since her husband had left her and taken their young son with him. She had tried to find a job, but no one would hire her without a permanent address or a reliable phone number. She had been sleeping in parks and alleyways, and she was starting to lose hope.

But then she had heard about the homeless shelter. She had come to see if they could help her.

The woman at the front desk smiled at her. “Welcome,” she said. “What’s your name?”

“My name is Shana,” the young woman said.

“It’s nice to meet you, Shana,” the woman said. “What brings you to our shelter?”

Shana told the woman her story. The woman listened patiently, and when Shana was finished, she said, “We’re glad you’re here, Shana. We can help you get back on your feet.”

The woman showed Shana to a room where she could stay. She also gave her a voucher for a free meal in the dining hall.

Shana ate her meal, and then she went to her room. She was exhausted, but she was also hopeful. She knew that she was in a safe place now, and that she would be able to get back on her feet with the help of the shelter.

The next day, Shana went to the shelter’s job training program. She learned how to use a computer, and she was also given help with her resume. She was able to find a job a few weeks later, and she was able to move into her own apartment a few months after that.

Shana was so grateful for the help that she had received from the homeless shelter. She knew that she would never have been able to get back on her feet without their help.

She often thought about the verse “I am a gracious God who is righteous and full of mercy.” She knew that Jesus, had been merciful to her, and she was so thankful for His grace.

Shana’s story is a reminder that God is a gracious God who is full of mercy. He is always willing to help those who are in need. If you are struggling, don’t give up hope. God is with you, and He will help you through whatever you are facing.

“The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.”

Psalm 116:5

90 – Vows

The young couple stood at the altar, exchanging vows. The bride, Lola, was radiant in her wedding dress, and the groom, Greg, looked handsome in his tuxedo.

As they spoke their vows, Lola and Greg looked into each other’s eyes, and they knew that they were meant to be together. They had been through so much together, and they had always come out stronger.

Lola had been diagnosed with cancer when she was just 20 years old. She had gone through chemotherapy and radiation, and she had lost her hair. But Greg had been by her side the whole time, and he had never given up on her.

Greg had lost his job when the company he worked for went bankrupt. He had been unemployed for months, and he had been feeling discouraged. But Lola had been there for him, and she had helped him to keep going.

Through it all, Lola and Greg had never wavered in their love for each other. They knew that they were meant to be together, and they were determined to build a happy life together.

As they exchanged vows, Lola and Greg promised to love and protect each other always. They knew that they would face challenges in their lives, but they also knew that they could overcome anything together.

“I will protect and carry you all the days of my life,” Greg said.

“I will protect and carry you all the days of my life,” Lola said.

The young couple kissed, and the crowd erupted into applause. Lola and Greg were now husband and wife, and they were ready to start their new life together.

Lola and Greg’s story is a reminder that Jesus’ love can conquer all. No matter what challenges you face in life, if you have faith and love, you can overcome anything.

“I will be your God throughout your lifetime— until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you.”
