Emily got in her car and drove to the grocery store. It was something she did every day. She purchased some vegetables and some meat. Every day she got something different, but it was always healthy.

After leaving the grocery store, Emily drove to the rescue mission to drop off her daily donation. By now, everyone at the mission knew who she was and they were always grateful for her help.

One day, Emily was dropping off the groceries when she saw a reporter doing a piece on the mission. The secretary immediately introduced the reporter to Emily.

“Emily brings food every day and keeps our fridge stocked with healthy food,” the secretary said.

Emily smiled and handed the groceries to the secretary. The reporter said, “Really? That’s wonderful. Can I interview you and make you a part of this report?”

“Sure,” Emily said.

After the interview, Emily went home. When she awoke the next morning, before she left to go to the grocery store, she saw the report on the local news channel. She immediately started getting text messages from friends and acquaintances.

She sent a little prayer to God, “Thank you, God, for making me a light to so many people. Bless them all.”

Emily’s story is a reminder that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference. By donating food to the rescue mission, Emily was able to help feed people who were in need. Proverbs 19:17

There were two men, Lynk and Alex, who got together every week to play tennis. They often engaged in conversation, making their tennis time also like therapy.

One day, Alex somehow got on the subject of God. Lynk said, “I don’t know, man. I’ve done so many bad things in my life. I think I’m hopeless.”

“But that’s the thing,” Alex said. “Jesus died for your sins, no matter how many there are.”

“I don’t know,” Lynk said. “I don’t want to give up all my vices.”

“But when you have a relationship with God, you won’t want to do your vices. You’ll want to do good.”

“Okay, what do I need to do?”

“Do a devotional, read the Bible, and pray every day. That’s all you need to start. Next, you will need to find a church and a Sunday school.”

So they prayed together, and Lynk invited Jesus into his heart. When he got home, he started reading the Bible and was amazed. He couldn’t put it down.

The next day, Lynk went to work and started to notice Bible verses everywhere he looked. He saw “love your neighbor as yourself” and “forgive one another.”

As he kept reading the Bible, he noticed that it was changing how he related to people. He still had trouble dredging up his past sins, but he knew that in good time, God would help him to overcome.

Lynk’s story is a reminder that God is always ready to forgive us, no matter what we have done. He is also always willing to help us to change our lives for the better. All we need to do is ask for His help.

Psalm 145:9
